Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which Tees Valley Refurbishments Ltd ("we", "us") provides bathroom fitting, installation and refurbishment services, and the basis on which you may use this website.

Quotations and surveys

Surveys are free and carry no obligation. Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days. Each quotation provides a detailed written scope of work and a fixed total price. The quoted price is the price you pay unless the agreed scope changes or unforeseen work is discovered that could not reasonably have been identified during the survey. Any variation and additional cost will be explained and agreed with you in writing before the extra work is carried out.

Carrying out the work

We will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care, in line with the agreed quotation and any specifications agreed with you. Timescales given are made in good faith; where delays arise (for example supplier lead times or unforeseen issues discovered during strip-out), we will tell you promptly and agree a revised plan.

Where strip-out reveals pre-existing problems that could not reasonably have been seen at survey (such as rot, failed pipework or structural issues), we will show you what we have found and agree any additional work and cost before proceeding.

Payments

Payment terms, including any deposit and stage payments, are set out in your quotation. Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

Guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship; it does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or products covered by their own manufacturer warranties (which we will pass on to you). The guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation

If you contact us away from our business premises (for example, a survey at your home), you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin work within that period and then cancel, you may be required to pay for work already carried out and materials already ordered.

Complaints

If something is not right, contact us first at info@teesvalleyrefurbishments.co.uk — we take snagging and complaints seriously and will aim to resolve any issue promptly. Our membership of trade platforms such as Checkatrade also provides an avenue for feedback.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
